National Training Centres, has been offering elite conditioning programs to athletes 8 years of age and up for over a decade and although we take great pride in building programs that provide necessary tools to achieve success, we take great pride in empowering today's youth along their development journey.
NTC's programs offer mentorship, leadership and physical development as we develop athletics, academics and the personal growth of every athlete we train.
NTC's development programs include Canada's First Woodway Blade Skating Treadmill are game and age specific and provide athletes with the development Core Strength, Agility, Power.
We understand and acknowledge the commitment, dedication and effort required to embark on an NTC program and we look forward to helping you achieve success.
Dan Blackburn has been refining training programs for over 10 years and throughout his successful career, founded National Training Centres, which designs and delivers all training protocols for NTC's Spring and Summer Development programs.
NTCs programs offer our C.A.P.S and S.P.E.E.D training systems along with Canada's First Woodway Skating Treadmill to ensure athletes are professionally prepared for next season. Through our testing protocols, NTC's age and sport specific programs focus on; skating stride mechanics, skating efficiency, motor skill, inside/outside edge control, core strength and stabilization, trunk flexion, extension, static and dynamic balance, double and single leg strength and explosiveness, foot speed, reaction, hand-eye coordination, torque and recoil, active and reactive training, propriocetion, rapid change of direction, linear and multi directional planned vs linear and multi directional unplanned movements, deceleration, acceleration, anaerobic and aerobic energy systems, multi muscle joint movements, synergistic total body efficiency, and anatomical adaptation that offer hockey players with the skills required to out-perform their competition, while avoiding injuries.
Using NTC's specialized equipment together with its world-class testing protocols and training programs, athletes can: achieve a minimum15 % improvement in conditioning; outperform their competition, become more confident and reduce the risks of injury.
Society understands and relates to testing, the athletic domain is no different. Establishing benchmarks and monitoring training progress are vital keys to athletic motivation and program design. Whether we are testing a Novice hockey player to better understand his leg power output, or are performing VO2 max testing on Professional players to understand his cardiovascular system, hockey players require regular and specific testing to ensure program specifity.
Dan Blackburn, strength and conditioning trainer, NCCP Advanced I hockey coach, and youth mentor, will help you outperform your competition, following his proven C.A.P.S and S.P.E.E.D conditioning programs. Dan, along with his professional staff have helped amateur, College, OHL, professional and NHL players achieve their goals and they will help you too!
