The Woodway Blade Skating Treadmill

National Training Centres, a human performance centre, dedicated to improving core strength, Agility, power and Speed in athletes of all ages ands skill levels, is excited to announce the introduction of Canada's FIRST AND ONLY WOODWAY BLADE

Never before has there been a piece of equipment that offers the benefits of being on the ice, while training off-ice. For the first time in the Canadian market, athletes can see and understand their skating weaknesses, begin training to specifically improve their skating stride, and do it under the watchful eye of a professional facilitator.

Why do so many athletes lose speed and power on the ice?

  1. Poor efficiency
  2. Weak leg strength
  3. Poor Muscle recruitment
Now using the Woodway Skating treadmill, athletes can have every stride watched and critiqued, and through NTC's stride efficiency program, improve their muscular endurance and strength.

This skating-specific training treadmill in designed to increase and maintain speed, correct skating mechanics, improve movements, stride length, and stride frequency. The specially designed ice surface is comprised of replaceable plastic components attached to dual aluminum slats. This belt, while running on nearly 400 ABEC 1 rated bearings, provides low friction to alleviate the forces to all mechanical and electrical parts, resulting in less wear, less maintenance, fewer repairs, lower electrical bills, and a longer treadmill life. The high power of the brushless DC motor combined with the limited friction of the slatted belt system guarantees the quickest acceleration and breaking.

In an effort to continue to offer the most scientifically advanced conditioning programs, NTC is thrilled to announce the introduction of the Woodway Blade Skating Treadmill.

Over the last 10 years, as we have developed and helped athletes improve their Core Strength, Agility, Power and Speed, and in our continued commitment to athletes, we are excited to offer this revolutionary training tool.
